Room Layouts

First Colony Inn is proudly listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, Click here to learn about our past. We love the building’s beauty, history, and personality and welcome you to explore this special historic Inn when visiting the Outer Banks. As a historic building, there is ongoing daily maintenance, and annual projects we undertake to improve the property while protecting its original charm. The decking may creak and you may notice areas in need of attention, but you will enjoy a unique and special experience as you take in the beauty and history of First Colony Inn.

All rooms have individually controlled heat and air conditioning, flat screen TV with DVD, microwave, refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, digital safe, iron/ironing board, comfortable seating area, private tiled bathrooms with heated towel bars, and hair dryers. Please be advised the Inn does not have an elevator, but the first floor rooms are accessible from a ramp right off the driveway. Please inform the front desk staff if you need help with your luggage. A Pack and Play can also be provided for certain rooms, at no extra charge; please contact the Inn for more information.

Many of our rooms connect, which can be helpful for guests with larger groups. We’ve included floor plans and descriptions below to show you which rooms connect as well as how many people the rooms sleep. Please note, just because a room connects does not mean that the occupants of the connecting room will have access to your room. Rooms will stay locked unless you and the occupant of the other room choose to open the connecting doors.
