Payment Information:

A deposit of one-night room and tax is required to confirm your reservation. The remaining balance of your stay will automatically be charged (14) fourteen days before arrival unless arranged otherwise with our office. Please note initial rates provided are for two adults and one child. Extra guests are allowed, up to room capacity, with a charge of $10 per adult per night, and $7 per child per night. Additional occupant charges are reflected in the rate when disclosed at the time of booking and can be adjusted by contacting our office.

Cancellation Information:

If you must cancel or modify your reservation you will receive a full refund, if canceled more than (14) fourteen days before your scheduled arrival. If the cancellation is made (14) fourteen days or less before arrival, or if you do not arrive as scheduled a “no show”, or if you decide to depart before your reservation confirmation date, no refund will be given.

Check-in begins at 4:00 pm. If arriving after-hours please contact our offices.

Check out:

Check-out is at 11:00 am. Please drop off your room keys at the front desk or in the key box, outside of the office, when you depart.

Breakfast Service:

Our breakfast service provides in-dining options as well as a “to-go” option. Upon arrival, you will be provided with your dining room reservation, if you would prefer breakfast to go let the breakfast attendant know in the morning. Breakfast boxes will be available for pickup between 8:30 am – 9:30 am. Please let us know of dietary concerns before your arrival so our chef can be prepared for your arrival and stay.

Afternoon Social Service:

Our afternoon social is provided in our dining room daily. Please note our dining room seating is limited, however, you are welcome to enjoy your wine and snacks in your room, on our decks, or on our grounds. 

Housekeeping Service:

To protect our guests, and staff, the following changes have been made to our housekeeping practices due to COVID19.

  • Housekeeping services are provided every other day. Service includes bath linen replacement, a refresh of room amenities, and trash removal. Additional linens, towels, toiletries, and room amenities can be picked up at the Front Desk if needed between services.
  • Our cleaning products include a disinfectant that is specifically approved by the EPA to combat the COVID19 virus.
  • Our housekeeping team is using extra care when servicing rooms between guests, the includes added focus on cleaning significant touchpoints.

Pool Information:
Our pool is open from late May through mid-October, weather permitting. Our pool hours are from 10 am to dusk, daily. Minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult, in the pool area.
Hotel Information:

The upstairs library is a great place to read, play cards, or work on a puzzle. You will find plenty of books ready to be borrowed during your stay, area maps, and brochures available for guest use, and a card/game table offering ocean views. The library is open for use from 9 am – 5 pm, daily. Seasonal amenities include an on-site outdoor pool, various yard games, and beach chairs. Direct private beach access is located just across the beach road (Virginia Dare Trail) from First Colony Inn.

Our quiet hours begin at 9 pm nightly. Loud voices, horseplay, running/jumping, etc., in the room or along the decks will not be permitted.  If we receive a noise complaint for your room our desk will provide a courtesy reminder, if a second complaint is received you may be asked to leave.
