"We went on the off season. The weather was cold, but the First Colony Inn was very cozy. Great price for the room, breakfast and wine and snack hour the night of check in. We will definitely go back--hopefully with nicer weather."

"A lovely facility - We went off season as a get away for my wife and I. We enjoy places with some history so the Inn was perfect for us. The staff was extremely nice and engaging. They were quite helpful with information about local events and history. We would certainly return and recommend the First Colony to our friends"

"Great hotel in excellent location - Had a great stay at the First Colony Inn. The location is fantastic: right by the beach with private access (the beach is also great). Very friendly welcome by the staff; nothing is too much trouble. On the whole, very relaxing and would recommend to anyone looking to stay on the Outer Banks. "

"Location was great. Short walk to the beach. They provided chairs, umbrellas. They also provided bicycles, lawn games (corn haul), pool. Nice areas for sitting outside of room. Social hour with wine. Very nice breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. A lovely visit."
