"Spacious, clean, and dripping with old time atmosphere and charm. We are Christians, and not believers in ghosts, but our bed was moving about 10 times one night!! The floor was not moving, the bed was not against the wall, we had not been drinking nor out on the water, and nobody else seemed to notice anything. It was very strange, but seemed to add to the ambience of the experience at First Colony. An oasis by the sea!"

"I absolutely adore The First Colony Inn. My boyfriend stayed here for our 4th anniversary. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming. The room was not only extremely clean but very inviting and homey. The breakfast was delicious and the library with old check in love added to the character of the inn. I can’t wait to return!"

"The property has the charm of an old Inn. The bed was fabulous, and it was great to have a small refrigerator and microwave in the room. (Not typical of other Inns where I have stayed). It was just a short walk to the beach. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed my stay and will come again."

"Such a gorgeous property with the best staff around. Room was impeccably clean and tidy. Decks wrap both upper and lower levels of the property with plenty of unique seating. Garden areas are gorgeous as well. ONLY place to stay in Nags ahead."
