I learn a new piece of interesting history each time I stay here."

"Alma the lady at the lobby is awesome very attentive, pleasant and amazing hard worker. Breakfast was delicious. The room was good just a suggestion they need to add blackout curtains for more privacy, and the streaming on the tv is very slow to other than that the place is in a very good location."

"What a wonderful stay. This charming Inn is filled with so much character and history. We have already booked our next stay! Rooms: The rooms are so cozy and well decorated. I love that each piece sticks with the history of the inn, and hasn't been "modernized" for the sake of people-pleasing. Our room had a week working ac unit to keep the room cool in the hot summer months."

"I could go on and on about how much I've loved my stay here. I was here for two days and the staff was wonderful and so was our room. It was very comfortable; and my favorite parts were the library, the breakfast, and the gardens. The library was such a small, yet quiet spot and I spent at least half an hour reading in there! The breakfast was SO GOOD---especially the German Egg Bake!! The staff were so sweet and welcoming; always asking us friendly questions whenever they saw us. And the gardens were just gorgeous! It rained on our last day but everything still looked beautiful. The chairs outside and the wraparound porch were the best spots to sit and read or just watch the sky. The flowers everywhere were just the perfect touch on top of it all. Definitely staying here again next year!"

"A unique and outstanding, experience for three nights in Nags Head! I had a larger room that provided both a sunrise and an ocean view. The spacious room had character and was tastefully appointed with a 4 poster bed, wet bar, refrigerator, Keurig machine, microwave, and comfortable furniture including a writing desk. The custom breakfast was absolutely outstanding that included a superb collection of pastries, fruit, and juices each morning. The breakfast staff, Beth and Sue, did an excellent job of serving us and making certain everything was in order. Afternoon wine social was relaxing with tasty extras. The dining room was undeniably enjoyable and also well appointed. The pool, garden, and grounds were well maintained and encompassed a myriad of special plantings and touches. A very short and easy three minute walk to the sandy beach. I will be back!"
